Candidate Profile:
- Candidate should be interested in working with immigrant and refugee populations
- Candidate should be able to communicate basic math and algebra concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles
- Previous math tutoring experience is preferred but is not essential
Primary Duties Include:
- Tutor adult immigrant students preparing for higher education
- Work one-on-one or with small groups
- Materials are provided
Time Commitment:
- 4 hours/week (2 two-hour sessions)
- Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. for the duration of the course
- Class schedule
- Spring Semester: February 4 – May 31, 2013
